EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS! WHEREAS: ORDERED: On January 14, 2014, Richmond County Coroner Grover F. Tuten, Jr. was indicted On eight felony counts Of Theft by Taking and five counts Of Violation of Oath Office; and The indictment was transmitted to the Office of the Governor pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 45-5—6(b), and the certified copy was received on January 15, 2014; and Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 45—5—6(e), Mr. Tuten has voluntarily authorized the Governor to suspend him from the Office of Richmond County Coroner. Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOWRNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That Richmond County Coroner Grover F. Tuten, Jr. is hereby suspended from office immediately and without further action pending the final disposition of the case or until the expiration of his term of office, whichever occurs first, as provided in O.C.G.A. § 45—5—6(c).
