THE STATE OF GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: Meteorology forecasts for much of the State of Georgia predict significant inclement Weather for the coming days; and Sustained lower than average temperatures throughout Georgia has adversely affected the supply of liquid petroleum gas; and Price gouging related to this fuel is detrimental to the social and economic welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and Wholesale and retail prices have substantially increased in some markets in recent days; and In light of these circumstances, and to protect public Health, safety and welfare, it is necessary to prevent Price gouging using the authority vested in me as Governor by virtue of O.C.G.A Section 38—3—51. NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That a State of Emergency exists in the State of Georgia and that the O.C.G.A Section 10—1—393.4, prohibiting price gouging, is activated.
