EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: The Georgia Lottery Corporation provides funds for educational purposes and programs such as the Hope Scholarship; and Illegal gambling activities divert funds from the Georgia Lottery Corporation; and The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) may render assistance in any criminal case, in the prevention or detection of violations of law, or in the detection or apprehension of persons violating the criminal laws of this state, any other state, or the United States when requested by the Governor; and The General Assembly passed House Bill 487 during the 2013 Legislative Session which transferred responsibility for the administration and enforcement of provisions related to coin operated amusement machines to the Georgia Lottery Corporation.
