THE STATE OF‘ GEORGIA EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: FLAGS ORDERED LOWERED TO HALF STAFF The Honorable Calvin Hill, District 22 Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013; and In addition to serving in the United States Marine Corps, Hill also served his fellow man in many civic organizations and as mayor of Ball Ground prior to being elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002; and It is fitting and proper to recognize Representative Hill’s service to the State of Georgia by lowering the flags on the State Capitol building and grounds and state buildings and grounds in Cherokee, Forsyth and Fulton Counties to half-staff on the day of his interment. Now, THEREFORE, IN HONOR AND AS A MARK OF RESPECT FOR THE MEMORY OF REPRESENTATIVE CALVIN HILL, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GovERNoR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That the flag of the United States and the flag of the State of Georgia be flown at half-staff on the State Capitol building and grounds and state buildings and grounds in Cherokee, Forsyth and Fulton Counties on November 5, 2013, the day of his funeral, until sunset.
