Balfour, II, Senator from the 9th District in the Georgia State Senate, was indicted on September 24, 2013, on multiple counts in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Atlanta Judicial Circuit; and A certified copy of the indictment was transmitted to my office on September 30, 2013; and The 14-day period following the receipt of the indictment as prescribed by Article 2, Section 3, Paragraph 1 of the Georgia Constitution has passed. NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That retired Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia George Carley, Senate Majority Leader and Senator of the 16111 District Ronnie Chance, and House Majority Leader and Representative of the 146th District Larry O’Neal are hereby appointed as the review commission to determine whether the indictment relates to and adversely affects the administration of the office of Senator Donald K. Balfour, II and to make a written report to me by November 15, 2013, with a determination as to whether Senator Donald K.
