The State of Georgia holds title to certain real property located at 935 East
Confederate Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30316 known as “Confederate Avenue”
located in Land Lots 9, 10, 23 & 24 of the 14th District, Fulton County, Georgia
(hereinafter the “Property”); and

Said Property is in the custody of the Georgia Department of Defense (hereinafter
the “Department”); and

Buildings 4, 8, 18, and 21 located on the Property (hereinafter the “Structures”), as
shown in Exhibit A, were acknowledged by the Department to be abandoned, in
disrepair, burdensome in costs of utilities, maintenance and upkeep, and of no
future use to the agency; and

The Adjutant General, on April 25, 2013, resolved«that the Structures are surplus to
the needs of the Department and requested that the State Properties Commission
seek an Executive Order from the Governor to allow for the razing, demolition, and
disposal of the Structures as in the best interest of the State of Georgia; and

The Department is seeking funding to raze, demolish and dispose of said Structures.

Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AU'I‘I-IORI'I‘Y VESTED IN ME AS
GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT Is HEREBY

The Georgia Department of Defense is hereby authorized and directed to, upon
receipt of funding, raze, demolish and dispose of said Structures under the terms
and conditions which are deemed to be in the best interests of the State of Georgia.
