EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: By Executive Order dated April 19, 2013, a review commission was appointed to determine whether the indictment of James H. Brooks, Sr., relates to and adversely impacts the administration of the office of Brunswick City Commissioner pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 45-5-6; and By the report dated April 29, 2013, that commission recommended that Brunswick City Commissioner, Mr. James H. Brooks, Sr., be suspended from office under the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 45-5-6. NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That, pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 45-5—6(d)(1), Mr. Robert Emmitt Nolan, Jr. is hereby appointed to fill the temporary vacancy in the office of Brunswick City Commissioner pending the final disposition of the case involving Mr. Brooks or until the expiration of his term of office, whichever occurs first.
