EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: Tyrone Brooks, Representative from the 55”‘ District in the Georgia House of Representatives, was indicted on May 16, 2013 on multiple counts in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia; and A certified copy of the indictment was transmitted to my office on May 31, 2013; and The 14-day period following the receipt of the indictment as prescribed by Article 2, Section 3, Paragraph 1 of the Georgia Constitution has passed. Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That Attorney General Sam Olens, 89th District Representative Stacey Abrams and 41511 District Senator Steve Henson are hereby appointed as the review commission to determine whether the indictment relates to and adversely affects the administration of the office of Representative Tyrone Brooks and to make a written report to me within 14 days with a determination as to whether Representative Tyrone Brooks should be suspended from office as required by Article 2, Section 3, Paragraph 1 Of the Georgia Constitution.
