EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS: ORDERED: ORDERED: ATTEST: The General Assembly passed House Bill 132 during the 2013 Legislative Session, which provides that the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy and Georgia Board of Dentistry are transferred from Secretary of State to being divisions of the Department of Community Health. House Bill 132 also transfers assignment of the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency from the Secretary of State to the Department of Community Health as an attached agency for administrative purposes. The General Assembly passed House Bill 106, the Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2014, during the 2013 Legislative Session, which appropriated $1,750,681 in state general funds for the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency. NOW, THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT IS HEREBY That, as of July 1, 2013, the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy and Georgia Board of Dentistry will be established as two new budget units within the Department of Community Health. As of July 1, 2013, the Secretary of State will transfer $1,750,681 in state general funds, 12 positions, 12 motor vehicles, and associated equipment to the Department of Community Health for the Georgia Drugs and Narcotics Agency.
