EXECUTIVE ORDER BY THE GOVERNOR: WHEREAS : WHEREAS: WHEREAS: ORDERED: City of Brunswick Mayor Pro Term and City Commissioner, James H. Brooks, Sr., was indicted on March 28, 2013, on one count of Violation of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, three counts of Violation of Oath by Public Officer, and two counts of Influencing of Officer or Employee of State or Political Subdivision by Another Officer or Employee; and The indictment was transmitted to the Governor pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 45-5-6(b), and was received on April 4, 2013 ; and The 14-day period following the receipt of the indictment as prescribed by O.C.G.A. § 45-5—6(e) has passed. Now, THEREFORE, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME As GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, IT Is HEREBY That Attorney General Sam Olens; Alderman Tim Houston of the City of Acworth; and Commissioner Christopher Pike of the City of Albany; are hereby appointed as the review commission to determine whether the indictment relates to and adversely affects the administration of the office of Mayor Pro Tem and City Commissioner by Mr. James H. Brooks, Sr. such that the rights and interests of the public are adversely affected thereby and to make a written report to me within 14 days with a recommendation as to whether said public officer should be suspended from office as required by O.C.G.A. §45—5-6(e).
