The State of Georgia holds title to, and the Georgia Public Safety Training Center is the
custodian of the former Dalton Police Academy located at 230 Brickyard Road, Dalton;
approximately 9.08 acres as described in Deed Book D, Page 29 and Deed Book 152,
Page 252 and in Plat Book 2, page 80, being in Land Lot 352 of the 12th District, 3rd
Section, Whitfield County, Georgia, (hereinafter the “Premises”), as more fully described
in Exhibit “A” highlighted in red, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference;
and

The Georgia Public Safety Training Center has discontinued use of the Premises; and

The Georgia Public Safety Training Center by resolution dated July 10, 2012, requested a
transfer of custody of the Premises to the Georgia Department of Corrections; and

The Georgia Department of Corrections desires the custody and control of the Premises
to house the Dalton Probation Office and Northwest Day Reporting Center; and

The Georgia Board of Corrections by resolution dated June 7, 2012, requested transfer of
custody of the Premises to the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Now, THEREFORE, PURSUANT To THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME AS GOVERNOR OF
THE STATE OF GEORGIA, rr IS HEREBY

That custody of the above-defined Premises and structures located in Whitfield County,
Georgia be and the same is hereby transferred to the Georgia Department of Corrections.
